DO the ships run on Daylight savings or Eastern Standard?
We are on the Carnival Inspiration and next Tuesday we want to take the mid-morning Sting Ray with Captain Marvin (they are on Standard Time), and not sure what that will do for our 3 PM Sailing time. With getting back on shore around 1:30 Standard Time.

So is that 1:30 Standard Time, 2:30 Daylight Savings Time?

Does the Inspiration Dock or are there Tenders?
If Tenders, does the last Tender Leave at 3PM or what...

Time, time, time, time is or is not on my side?

Thanks

We just returned 4/20/03 from the Carnival Victory. We sailed out of Miami so our ship time was on daylight savings time. Cayman was 1hr. behind our ship time. The tender will leave at ship time.

We were in Georgetown last week on the Splendour. All ships tender into the two downtown tender docks{about a block apart}. We were on Central daylight saving time which made our ship time the same as Caymans time.{ I think--darn confusing}.

When we returned to the pier and I looked out, the four ships that were there earlier in the day had disappeared... I almost had a heart attack until I saw the RCI employees and tenders still working. There were 6 ships in port that day, ours anchored further up the shore out of sight .

The Capers will give you the ship time, and the shore time. Just keep your watches on ship time.

The last tender is usually 30 minutes or more BEFORE the departure time. Be sure and check the Capers for the ON BOARD TIME at each port, as it is usually 30 minutes earlier that the departure times.

Wow. I'm glad I read this. I didn't even think about it. I guess I'm going out to buy a watch. i normally don't wear one anymore.

Thanks

Carnival stayed on ships time when we were on them in Jan and ships time was the same as Miami time.

Make sure you get a water proof and corrosion proof watch. :) I carry such a watch in my snorkeling bag and wear it at all times, when ashore, just to be safe. The odd thing is I bought it on The Grandeur three years ago for 30 bucks and it still works perfectly and looks great after at least 12 extended salt water emersions and very many showers. :)

It has a club med logo and I saw some of them on the Enchantment last Sept..
