What is RCI policy on time zones in the Carribean. do we stay on ship time
or do we change at each Time Zone. thanks!

You are always on ship time. Even if the ship changes its clocks for a time zone change you are still on ship time.

That said, I have done the Western Caribbean twice on Royal Caribbean on two different ships out of Miami both times. Both cruises went to Labadee, Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Both were during the summer (Aug 2004 and June 2007) and we never changed the clocks (ahead or back). However, we were always on ship time.

We've gone out of Miami 6 times on Royal and always stayed on Miami (ship's time) with no changes.

But, do not take that as gospel!

A Captain has the prerogative of moving the clock forward or back

So, what is the rule? The captain rules!

Just got off the Grandeur of the Seas. Changed our clocks head for Cozumel and Grand Cayman and then back again for Aruba!

Jim has the correct answer on this one. The time on board is completely at the discretion of the Captain. I too have cruised on ships that changed and those that did not. =cuckoo
