Yes, the automatic tips WILL be the first entry on your Sail & Sign account. Your agent should have made that clear. However, if you choose, you can have these auto tips removed. (Not a great idea - because when you remove their auto tips and tip them in cash, those tips have to be POOLED, and they do not get the amount they are due.) The best way and what MOST people do is to leave the tips in place, and tip a little extra if you'd like to some individuals. The $10 per person per day is a VERY fair amount. You will be doing the crew a great disservice if you remove the tips.This policy was put in place several years ago. This was done because too many people didn't tip very much or NOT AT ALL, stiffing those hard working crew members. BTW, the "houseman" is referred to as a CABIN STEWARD.Leave the auto tips in place.
