A friend of mine recently went aboard the Carnival Sensation- she said they asked her for the tipping total up-front before she got on the boat. She thought she rec'd terrible service from some of the staff, and was told she could "adjust" her amt in the end. It just so happened the "adjustment line" was miles long on the last day and she didn't want to waste cruise time. Is there truth to this? Shouldn't they wait until the end to get the tip? Where is the incentive for great servive if youve prepaid the tip?
