TJ is still in the hospital

He is still running a fever, not really high, but it gets to 102 in the evening. The Dr thought he might still be having trouble with the anesthesia in his lungs, so Adria took him for a walk this afternoon, outside. He had surgery on his foot as a child, and ran a fever after that, too.

He is making little improvements, just needs to beat the infection. I called and spoke with him this afternoon. He sounded really tired and said he was in a lot of pain. But his wife said when he was walking, he was fully upright and strong enough to make it a short ways, so she thinks he is better than he thinks he is. She works with sick people in the hospital, so I guess she should know.

She called tonight about 11, they are taking him down at midnight for another CT scan. They made him drink some contrast, which did not go down well. He is still having some digestive problems. Strange time for a cat scan!

I didn't go today because I thought he might be on his way home, And, It is such a logistical problem to lug the scooter out in the cold and rain. Of course I would be there anyway if I thought the situation was worse than it is. They should have results of the test by morning, they will call me then.

Connie I hope he can beat this infection soon and get back home. I know you are worried try to let the next days take their course so that the drugs can get rid of the infection. Hugs....

Sometimes it is easier to be sick yourself than have your kid sick!! Take care of you and I hope that he gets home soon.

Thanks, everyone. The CT showed a secondary infection, they did an needle aspiration on it and changed his antibiotics, so we shall see. He is still queasy, and a little shaky. We shall see what happens.

I got down there today, and went to take the scooter out and no power to the lift. I had to leave the hospital, drive 20 minutes away to get to the repair place. Turned out to just be a wire loose, and then I went back. I was supposed to go somewhere tonight, but I don't think so!

I haven't been over here in a while. Didn't know your son had surgery. I hope they have found the problem and he will soon be home.
