...Tomorrow is the day that the Mariner of the Seas arrives to take over the 7-night Mexican Riviera route out of San Pedro...

For a long time, a lot of folks said that we'd never get a Megaship out here...for a variety of reasons, none of which made all that much sense...
Of course, by now, the Mariner is only about the third size down (Oasis, then Freedom/Liberty, THEN the Voyager class), but it's still going to be the best thing going here on the West Coast...

The Mexican Riviera cruises begin on Sunday...
BUT, I am deeply honored to cruise on the Mariner on its VERY FIRST sailing here in SoCal--The One-night invite only "Pre-Inaugural"...
I am now less than 22 hours away from boarding...It's going to be FUN!!!

Have fun on the Mariner. Those PI cruises are great. Some of us were invited to the Liberty and RCI really took good care of us. Glad to see the west coast get a larger ship.

Glad to have the Mariner out west.

I was on the Voyager of the Seas when she was the very first ship to sail from Cape Liberty in Bayonne. Those "inaugural" sailings are lots of fun so enjoy it Steve!

The ship was beautiful...
We booked another cruise while we were on board for January...right after New Years

Having just cruised on the Sapphire Princess in Janiuary, I can honestly say there is "no contest"...I cannot picture taking any of the other choices for the Mexican Riviera route for ANY reason...Not the Sapphire Princess and certainly not Carnival...

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a third Oasis Class built, just for the Left Coast ~ Hawaii market!

Of course, the next step is to bolt two of them together and make the world's largest catamaran! Now THAT would be a ship!
