The Tracy arm is amazing. In 2002 I was there and saw 160-180 feet tall chunks of ice calve into the water. Lots of waterfalls too.

Was in Tracy Arm last week. The scenery is spectacular. You feel like you can reach out and touch the cliffs on both sides of the ship. Lots of ice floating in water of the most beautiful hues!! Have lots of film handy!! Everyone I spoke to thought Tracy Arm the highlight of the cruise!

We were there two weeks ago. Tracy Arm is spectacular. Lots of floating ice, beautiful waterfalls and distant alpine glaciers. We couldn't get all the way up to the glacier face due to ice but it was a beuatiful morning there - probably just as exciting as the hours we spent in Glacier Bay.

This year's ice has been extra heavy. The larger ships have a hard time getting into Tracy Arm all the way to the glaciers. The smaller boats have made it up to the glaciers most days.

We made it to the glacier last week 8/23/05. There was a lot of ice burgs floating in the water but the captain went right through them. There was even campers on the island inside – they actually kayaked out there (crazy!) Lots of ice, cliffs and waterfalls. Wonderful to see and spectacular to watch it all while floating slowly by! It is Very Cold standing outside! I recommend to dress very warm (hubby wore a down jacket and was still a bit cold) wearing gloves and a hat if possible. Took about 200 pictures during the travel in and out. Saw lots of seals, a few bald eagles, and one side of the ship spotted a bear while leaving the fjord. We started in the fjord at 5am and reached the glacier around 8am – I really wasn’t watching my watch to closely.
