My husband and I will be going on the trans-atlantic cruise on Jewel of the Seas this March. Is anyone else here going on that cruise? Also, is anyone else planning to see Dover Castle for the day in England?

We are doing the Jewel Transatlantic next Fall. Last year we stayed in Dover before our westbound TA on the Constellation and enjoyed our tour of Dover Castle and the underground tunnels. If you have any specific questions, I would be happy to try to answer them for you.

Thanks. I am looking forward to seeing Dover Castle. Since you've been there, perhaps you remember and can answer this: I've heard some places in Europe have pay toilets. Is that the case at Dover Castle, and if so, what type of coins would be needed for that?

My recollection on this subject is sketchy but I don't believe that there were pay toilets at Dover Castle, just regular public restrooms. I am sure someone in our group would have mentioned it if there were pay toilets there.
