Transfers to and from Anchorage to/from Seward

We'll be on a back to back cruises on the Radiance of the Seas - departing June 26th and returning July 10th. What is the best way to get from Anchorage to Seward, and then from Seward back to Anchorage. We're coming in the day before (June 25th) and our flight on July 10th departs Anchorage at 11:15pm. It really doesn't matter where we stay the first night (Anchorage or Seward), but I think we'll want a 'day room' of sorts on the 10th - and probably have that in Anchorage. We're a couple traveling on our own, so would not be sharing costs with anyone else. It seems like to RCCL transfers for a bus are reasonable to get to Seward, but they seem to be confused with us wanting to come back from Seward when we are done.

Any suggestions, recommendations are welcome.

Thank you!

Libby, I read this post a couple of days ago.....and have thought about it. First, I would take the RCCL transfers.

It's almost like the person that you talked to cannot grasp that it is a back to back that you are taking. Maybe they are only looking at the first cruise and can only see transfers for Vancouver. I cannot remember if they give to booking numbers for a B2B, but, if they do, maybe using the second number would have the agent grasp what you are looking for. They have to have transfers to Anchorage for the second cruise.

Thanks. I think you're probably right - use the second booking number and I bet I get a different result. I think they're also training new staff because I asked about pre-stays in Anchorage and was told there weren't any - unless we were staying three nights. I find that a little hard to believe. I'll also check on that again

That should be a very nice cruise. I thought about doing a back to back on RD, but from YVR......I opted for the 14 day Ultimate Alaska on Serenade.....did the same cruise last year.

I don't have any advice, but just wanted to pass along as a lifelong Alaskan that the drive to and from Anch/Seward is beautiful. More than a decade ago, when my in-laws came to visit for the first time, we took the train from Girdwood to Seward and it was breathtaking. Enjoy your trip to the Last Frontier! :)
