Hi: We are going on the Glory Oct 21. Anyone else going then? We are flying into Orlando a day early and I need to know how to get from the airport to the Radisson in Cape Canaveral. Don't really want to take a taxi nor rent a car, altho from what I hear, it appears a rental car would be cheapest. Just don't need the stress of driving!! Carnival cannot provide transport unless it is same day arrival as cruise. Any help would be appreciated. Any info on the Glory also would be great. Thanks to any and all replies!!!

I haven't sailed on the Glory so I can't help you there but I have sailed out of Cape Canaveral. I think there is a shuttle service called Art's Shuttle Service. You might want to try Googling it and see what comes up. I have read positive things about Art's. Don't be afraid to save a few $$$ and drive because it is pretty much a straight from Orlando to Cape Canaveral.

The Radisson is a great hotel for a pre cruise stay. Enjoy! We will be sailing on the 21st also but out of FLL.

I sailed on the Glory a few years ago and we used Arts Shuttle
(artsshuttle.com) from the airport to the Radisson and from the port back to the airport. We were in a group of about 16 and we paid @20 pp round trip. I highly recommend using them. They were there on time when picking us up and were very professional. We also enjoyed the Radisson. It's really close to the ship. Had a great time on the Glory, too! I hope you enjoy your trip!

What we did was stay in a hotel close to the Orlando airport. (shuttle service) Then in the morning we took the shuttle back to the airport and got on the Carnival bus that took us to the cape. We were on the second bus...just missing the first one by a matter of minutes. The wait wasn't too long though. I was surprised at how many people were there at 9AM. We were still among the first group to get on the ship....and once we got on the bus we didn't have to mess with our luggage.

We were on Glory last month. Which are you doing - Eastern or Western? Anyway, we went a day early and rented a car from Thirfty and stayed at Best Western in Cocoa and then dropped the car off on Saturday morning and took the free shuttle to the port. The car was $50. On the way back, we had reserved a car from Thrifty so after we got off the ship, we took the shuttle to their office and got the car. We had a 3PM flight back so not much time to drive around but the car was $45 I think.

I sailed in August out of Port Canaveral. came in very late night before cruise. Stayed at Wingate Orlando International - about 1 miled from airport. Called hotel when I arrived and their free shuttle was there in about 5 minutes. I arranged transport from Wingate to ship thru Tropicana Transport. If you book on line or call ahead of time it is $35 round trip. Vey nice guy and on time.

good Luck! P.S. Wingate was very nice hotel. Little store about 1 blk away where I bought some good florida souveniers and Pepsi to take on ship. Booked at hotwire for $54 night. Remember if you rent a car they will hold $250 on your charge card.
