Hi!
After spending quite a bit of time on the phone last night I booked what seemed like the perfect cabin for us. It is a stern cabin # 6440 on the Upper Deck. I wanted a mid level deck for my fiance because he has never been on a ship. When I was booking the Sky deck on the Norway my aunt (who has easily 30+ cruises - exec assoc w/ NCL) that you feel less motion on the lower decks. I have now read online you feel more motion in the aft/stern! So I got a lower deck but wrong location ? I just thought a stern w/ the balcony would be romantic when we leave each port. I have enjoyed the public stern side balconies (never had private one) on previous cruises. HELP ! lol
Also, I have read in the reviews some people discovered they got an upgrade when arriving for their cruise. Is this something that happens alot blindly or do they offer & you can refuse? I figure an upgrade for our cabin would just be a higher deck but same kind of room. I booked the deck I wanted and if I wanted a higher deck I would have booked it. Now a bigger cabin well.... that is a different story LOL
Anyone know about the stern stairwells ? Can passengers use them or are they for employees only ? I thought they would be very convient just 3 floors up to food & 1 down to clubs. However , another review I read said they booked the L cabins which were larger for the same price but was worried about the stairwells but it was no problem because only crew used them. I emailed him to ask if they were strictly employee use but have not heard yet. So I figured I'd try here.
Sorry for so many questions! Just after having everything settled then uprooted because of the boiler I feel like I am at square one again....LOL The Norway is supposed to start sailing again a week before but I thought that was cutting it too close being this is a honeymoon! I am very exciting about sailing the Triumph even though I was disappointed about the Norway this sound fun!
Take Care,
Lisa
