RCCL offers 8 hour excursions from Cozumel to Tulum with shopping or with Xel Ha (~$250 for a family of 4). I want to see Tulum but don't want to do the shopping and don't really want to pay $250. We'll be there in mid-November, 2002.Has anyone tried doing this on their own? Perhaps renting a car in Playa Del Carmen instead of using the bus tour?
