:wave Anyone been to Turner Beach on the Island of Antigua? I have read a few reviews about different beaches on the Island, but have not heard much about Turner Beach. One of the shore trips we are looking at booking is supposed to drop us off there to swim and snorkel. Just wanted to get an idea of what the beach was like.

Hi Minnie!

Actually I have been to Tanner's beach. I took a tour with Lawrenceofantigua.com (which I highly recommend BTW) and he dropped us off there. They have a small outdoor restaurant and bar facility as well as some primiative shower/restrooms for you to use. It was not crowded at all. Actually there was only about 25 people there when Lawrence dropped us off. The sand was pure white, the water was crystal aqua - it was fabulous. I can say Antigua was one of my top favorite places to go. :D

Edited to Add: The snorkling is ok there. Not much because there isn't a lot of coral there. There is a place you can do some in which I saw some spiney lobsters. It's not a place I would say is good for snorkling. They also didn't have water sports there either.

Was there 8 years ago and it is a VERY quiet Beach with a small shack restaurant and bar. They did have some Jet Ski folks there but for the MOST part it was VERY quiet. :thumb
