Turtle Cove or Buck Island

My fiancee and I are huge snorkel addicts and it looks like, on our stop in St. Thomas, we either want to snorkel Buck Island (which I hear is very good) or Turtle Cove (which is also suppose to be very good) which is better? They are both within $2 difference in price... also is it better to book before hand with the RCCL? I mean they want $50 for turtle cove and $52 for Buck Island. I've been checking Indy Web sites and they are around that... the problem I have with the indy's is (and this would apply to the guys at port too) how do you know they aren't going to scam you?

Sorry about the rant, any comments are appreciated.

Thnx...

Okay, let me revise the above... trunk bay or turtle cove? It has been brought to my attention that Tutle Cove and Buck Island are the same location (BONUS!!!) but I've heard good things about truck island??? Any suggestions?

Too much snorkeling, too little time.

We have been to both, Buck Island on a sail and snorkle tour and Trunk Bay on our own. Trunk bay is much better for snorkeling, and be sure to snorkle the coastline at the far end of the beach as well as the trail. Buck Island was OK, the sailing was the best part of the day not near as much to see snorkeling as Trunk Bay. We are going to try the rental of a dingy for our day next time we are on St. John. I'm providing you a link. Have fun whateveer you decide. :)
