If you are truly an @ddict, you will be needing that tux again and again. Better to buy a tux than to rent one repeatedly.

Get a decent tux and have it correctly tailored, then add accessories so you won't look like the same penguin twice per week on the cruise. Having your own tux will insure you don't get the typical sloppy fit of rental goods.

I have a good tux, but I bought a wacky cummerbund-bowtie set off ebay last month. I also picked up a white dinner jacket, a nice vest-bowtie combo, and some sharp stud & cufflink sets cheap too. Our next cruise will have three formal nights, so this will give me some variety.

The cost of two rentals could more than pay for the complete formal attire you will need.

I know this isn't what you asked for, but you might consider it a way to save money while saving face.

While I agree with what the above poster wrote, it didn't answer the question asked. Yes, you can arrange to rent a tux. The Celebrity website has information and it will also be included with your documents. They use:
Cruiseline Formalwear
Phone: 1-800-551-5091 or 305-252-8572
Fax: 305-252-6855

I'm sure there is a website, but I can't find it at the moment.

I just rented one from Cruiseline Formalwear. It was $97 for the black tux, and 2 shirts. Also rented the shoes. I have had good luck in renting them and don't want to have the problem of having to get one into my suitcase. It will be in your room when you get on the ship. Hope this helps.

Hi Don,

How did you rent your tux? Did you call X or did you call Cruiseline Formalwear directly? The size of your tux would it be the same size of your suits? Any help you can give me would be great.

Regards,
Liz

A tuxedo is sized the same as your regular suits. Order the same size.

If you plan to rent, you can visit any tux rental in your town and ask them to measure you for size. They will do it as a courtesy.

I'm a tailor by trade (alterations, not sales), and many years ago worked in a tux rental store. Knowing the typical abilities of the average tux rental clerk, I would recommend getting sized at least twice and take the average(!) But rental wear is for kids to wear at proms and weddings.

A well dressed man has a tuxedo in his closet; not only for cruising, but for special occasions that can be made more special with minimal effort on your part. Ask your wife if she approves of you wearing a tux next time you go out for your anniversary. We look forward to dining out every Christmas Eve in full blacktie.

Again, if you rent more than twice, you are wasting money borrowing used clothes. Invest in a tuxedo, and pack it along with your other suits.

Hi:
Couple of things. I think if you go to the Celebrity website it redirects you to Cruiseline formalwear for rental info.
I hate to go against the word of a tailor, but i've been advised that formalwear sizes are usually one size smaller then you usually wear. So if you are a 44 suit you probably need a 46 tux. Also if you want to (and i think Cruiseline formalwear suggests this) go into your local tux rental shop & ask them to measure you for a tux & have them write down the measurements. There is NO cost for this service. You then take those measurements and submit them to Cruiseline formalwear.
One other option. In case you have a tux rental shop that you like at home they will also rent packages that you can take on the cruise. It is usually a tad more expensive then cruiseline formalwear, but you have the benefit of knowing it is on the ship.

I'm with the tailor on this one. Although not having to pack it would be nice. You get better service when you wearing a great lookin tux...lol
