HI PETER!!!Tuxedos are part of the Celebrity experience. Not everyone wears them but you will certainly not be out of place if you do. If you enjoy custom and tradition you will be happy you wore a tux. You can buy one online for the price of a rental. You can also wear a dinner jacket (white/off white). I get a great thrill out of being able to participate in a custom that started in the 1800s. Dressing for dinner onboard ship goes way back to the mid 1800s. It is also a show of respect for the all the people who are knocking themselves out to make sure that you are having the time of your life. i do believe the waiters and staff appreciate the effort made on your part.
