Up grade

Have you ever recieve an up grade on Royal Carribean. I have
cruise on 13 cruises on various cruiselines and never an up grade.
wish I knew the secret!!!

Book a cruise that isnt selling or......
The secret...pay for it :lol I havent been lucky either to get a "free" upgrade, but then again most of the sailings I have been on have been sold out.
I have been able to pay for an upgrade at the pier, it was a bit less than booking the higher cabin prior to leaving. JMO, not all upgrades are good ones.

I never had them just upgrade me either and I have been on 38 RCCL cruises.......only upgrade I ever got was like Sue..pay for it at the pier,but those were quite a while ago...........I did get 2 upgrades as Diamond Plus(its one of the perks),but my last one was in 06!! Like stated, ships are filling up and selling out..............

As D+, we did get two upgrades back in '05 and '06.....the latter one was a fight to get......none since though. Almost all sailings are now sold out because they heavily discount at the last minute so they don't have to give upgrades to Diamond pluses.

I've been on 17 cruises (various cruiselines) and have been upgraded once. On my Carnival Conquest cruise last year, I was upgraded from a balcony cabin to the Penthouse Suite.

I think other cruise lines are more generous with upgrades. When we used to sail with princess we got an upgrade every time
