Update on our kitten

Well, we were surprised to learn that instead of our newly found kitten being spayed, she is a he and had to be neutered! Her name went from Bootsie to Pepe Le Pew! We picked him up from the vet today and believe it or not, he is running around playing! i thought he would be listless and hurting. When my daughter brought home this little guy, he was so small i thought he was about 7 or 8 weeks old, but the vet says he is at least 5 months old. He had an upper respiratory infection, ear mites, flea eggs, and a neck wound, along with worms. I feel lucky to have this cute little guy as part of our family. He loves laps, and I have never had a cat that wants to lay on you!

Aw... those little feral kitties don't get enough to eat, and their growth gets stunted. Glad he found a home with you. Who's a a good kittie person? You are, yes you are!

So Simon has a new cyber-playmate! Good news that Pepe Le Pew is doing well.

Photos??

And how are YOU faring after your knee replacements?

Cricket, Pepe may turn into a big kitty since he has a new home, a good veterinary check, and plenty of food. Instead of having a light weight kitty on your lap, you may have a giant. I've always loved to have cats that like attention, so enjoy him, and congratulations on being owned by a cat.

Boots says hi to Pepe! My sister brought Boots home from the barn where she keeps her mini horse. She was about 4 weeks old. She has 2 sisters too. We bottle fed them, boy was that fun. :) She kept one, I took one and we found a good home for the 3rd.

Boots is so much fun. Never a dull moment with her in the house. She's always looking for something to explore. Her big sis, Shadoe, is such a snob.

Enjoy your new kitty. My sis has a big guy, Gaylord aka Moose, that she brought home from the barn a few years ago. He is huge, 15 - 16 lbs. He is awesome.

:lol Cricket, that happened to us once 20 years ago. We got a calico kitten from a neighbor and it looked like a girl to us and calicos are 99% of the time female. Our surprise when we found out it was a boy. Did you decided to get Pepe declawed?

Our Bella, who we adopted last year is a very petite cat. She is 2 1/2 years old and is about the size of a 6 month old kitty...about 7 pounds. She has been such a joy. Wish you lots of love with Pepe too.

Nieciez... Yes, he has been declawed, I forgot to mention that and that was the main reason I did an update! He is doing absolutely fine! I was very hesitant about getting him declawed...I really wished there was another way, but he was one of those cats that wasn't happy with a scratching post, and decided to claw furniture and people. He was playfully coming down the hall and decided to jump up on my tummy , but his claws got me real good jumping up on me. My daughter has scratches all over her hands and arms. One of the main reasons we did do this is to care for Pepe for years to come, and we think we saved him from probably dying, since he was such a sick little kitten. Of course hundreds of dollars later, with a smaller purse, but he is wonderful, a real addition to our home and family. We already love him so much and he loves us and purs every time he gets up in the morning and finds us! When my d/d gets home from college tonight , she will post a picture, since I am quite a computer illiterate!

ShipMaven...I am doing pretty good with my knee replacements. it just seems like I expected a shorter recoup time but the odc says it could be up to a year before I really feel good.
