Ships sailing from the Port of Philadelphia

Empress of the Seas, departing Saturday, September 9, will now sail an alternative itinerary, based on the most recent weather forecasts. Should weather conditions change dramatically, involving the size, strength and direction of the storm, the ship could divert to Bermuda while initially underway. However, that is extremely unlikely at this time. The ship will now visit Nassau, Bahamas, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday, and Freeport, Bahamas, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday. As weather conditions involving the storm are constantly changing, guests booked on this sailing should continue monitoring these updates for the latest information. Guests also may contact Royal Caribbean at 1-800-327-6700 to receive these updates. Guests booked on this sailing may cancel their cruise and receive a letter of credit for the amount paid to Royal Caribbean. That letter of credit may be applied to a future Royal Caribbean cruise. Guests who sail on this cruise will receive a $150 onboard credit per stateroom.

Ships sailing from the Port of Baltimore
Grandeur of the Seas, scheduled to depart Sunday, September 10 - unfortunately has experienced a mechanical problem involving its starboard rudder. Royal Caribbean regrets this unexpected development. The ship will now delay its departure until approximately midnight Monday - to allow time to repair the rudder - and sail an alternative itinerary. Guests booked on this sailing may embark between 5 and 10 p.m. Sunday and make full use of the ship until its departure Monday night. Due to time, distance and weather constraints, the ship will now make a three-night sailing (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) with no ports of call, returning Friday morning as scheduled. Guests booked on this sailing may cancel their cruise and receive a letter of credit for 125 percent of the amount paid to Royal Caribbean. That letter of credit may be applied to a future Royal Caribbean cruise. Guests sailing on this cruise will receive a 50 percent refund and a 25 percent discount on a future Royal Caribbean cruise.

At this time, no other Royal Caribbean itineraries are being altered due to tropical weather. Royal Caribbean will continue to closely monitor weather conditions and update this information daily at 1p.m. and 7 p.m.
