Hi all ... it has been like forever since I have posted questions here ... things have gotten really shaken up for me the last 3 months but they are getting back to normal ... well what is taken for normal ...

My folks are so excited about the cruise ... mom had major surgery Aug 11th so am hoping that she will do ok on the cruise ... my sister's family and I am going to meet my parents in Florida and do Disney World ...

Since mom will not be able to do much walking and definitely no climbing does anyone have any suggestions as to what they could do on shore ... they will be going to the Bahamas on the Fantasy 4 night Cruise in October ...

Kytteckat,

Idon't know about the excursions, but in DW if your mother can't do much walking you can get awheelchair for her and I think you will be able to get into most of the attractions at the head of the line, I would check on that. Good luck.

Do the wheelchair thing.
I have been going to disneyworld since the first month they opened. We used to go 2x a year there. In 1980 I had surgery and was not able to do very much walking so we rented a wheelchair. (this vacation was planned way in advance of my surgery, and being a mickey fan did not want to miss out in going again) I was able to get into the rides before anyone else and sat in the front row.
I did not miss out all the fun and was able to enjoy myself.
P.S. Now I only do disney once a year with my grandkids. Cruising is my thing now.LOL
Have a great time when you go
