Whenever we have done a guarantee we have never been upgraded out of the booked type room... BUT we have gotten higher decks etc. I know I have heard of people going from a port hole to OV or interior to OV but that has never happened for us even with Plat status/past cruiser status.It is a really great cheaper way to cruise if you can stand the stress of not knowing your room number etc. I know on the Glory before this past one I did we saved $200 by doing that for our Balcony room! But I would never suggest for anyone to book a Guarantee type room with thinking they will get bumped up to the next type of room.
