i have been on 3 carnival cruises and not once have i had any problem with the smell of cigarette smoke in the state rooms. also if i am correct carnival does not allow smoking in the rooms and they have designated smoking areas on the deck of the boat for smokers. i dont know where the people in that review got their information from but they really need to pay close attention to the cruise director who will tell you over and over again to use the designated smoking areas on deck. am i saying that there has never been smoking in the staterooms? absolutely not, but for the most part most people are respectful enough to use the smoking areas and not once have i noticed a smell of smoke in the rooms aboard carnival cruise ships.
