Valor questions....

Just scheduled my second cruise - will be sailing on Valor on October 4! I am so so excited! I'm in an ocean view cabin on the Riviera deck - what is everyone's impression of being all the way on the bottom deck? Maybe this is a ridiculous question, but the water won't like, go over the window or anything right? Hahaha! Also, when making the reservation, the Carnival agent suggested I choose a room toward the back of the ship because at the front it rocks more and so may cause more motion sickness - have you all found that to be true? And for anyone who has sailed on the Valor before, if we are toward the back (cabin 1420) will we be really far out of the way? Or not really? Thanks!

If I have an ocean view cabin I prefer the lowest deck. I'm paying for an ocean view so put me close to the ocean :)

I prefer the front because I like to look out the window and see the bow wake coming off the front of the ship. =sailor

... the water won't like, go over the window or anything right? Just in case, you might want to make sure everything is off the floor before high tide. Some of the fish are rather curious and will swim up to the window and look in, like this ...

You are above the water line - at all times. Some waves might splash the window, but no water will get into the room. The window does not open and it is very sturdy. I've been on the lowest deck and it was fine. However, the best ride (least motion) is low and center. Not low and forward or low and aft. Low and center is the location for the least amount of motion.

Great view Cruiser! You will like the Valor, I was on her in 05. But then when your on a ship it really doesn't matter, your on a ship at sea, and not at work! As for the lower levels. I have been as high as 8th deck and low as 1st, only problem I found with the lowest level was near the aft of the ship, we got a little noise when docking. I don't remember which ship, but it wasn't anything that would keep me from booking there again. Now, the night I had to rush from the auditorium in the front, from deck 5 or 6 all the way aft on the lowest deck and back when I forgot something was a little frustrating. Those darn hall ways are long!

Have a wonderful cruise. ENJOY!
