Vision or Wind to Alaska?

Hi Everyone,
Just wondered if anyone had cruised NCL Wind or RCI Vision on the Inside Passage to Alaska. We are thinking of going on this cruise from Vancouver in early August. My daughter (17) doesn't think it will be much fun (we are just home from an 8-day cruise on the Spirit to the Caribbean), and is worried about the ages on-board an Alaskan cruise. I haven't even talked to our son about this, yet (he's 16).

Anyway, we're trying to decide what to do this weekend, because there is a seatsale on right now and we are heading to my brother's wedding in August, south of Calgary, AB, so we'll be close to Vancouver.

Believe me, if a Hawaiian itinerary had been offered, wouldn't have this problem -- we would be going. My daugher said she doesn't want to go somewhere cold.

Either ship would be ok. I would lean to RCL as ship is newer. August will have more young people I'm sure and it's only for a week. lol. Chippsetter says it's not cold but hey he lives there in the winter. lol.

Chek the Iterneary and I believe you will like the Vision better but it is a lot more money than the wind. We are goig on HAL in Aug and think the weather will be very good. Have been in May and June before and just layer.

Hi I know you are an expert on Alaska and best qualified to answer my weather question. What do you think about cruising in September? If it's cold and rainy I've seen enough of that this past spring in NYC.

I appreciate your expertise and honesty.
