well since Mark bought me a camera for Amigos I tend to occasionally use it.. as we had cousins up, and they were oohhing and ahhing over "The Herd".. and the grown up blueberries I grabbed a few photos..we have 5000 blueberry bushes in various stages of growth, and 50 German red deer,70 wild turkeys who trail through 2x a day about 100 squirrels ,red squirrels, chippers, 5 cats, and a partride in a pear tree..( NOT really but Momma =loves her critters.)

....the house was just re-stained ..*ahem* ,so it's really lovely.. every 5 years Momma gets a bee in her bonnet so it's re-done..:grin..

AND Braveheart the patriarch - he weighs in at about 500 pounds..is seperate from the "girls"...
:evil.. so he BUGLED, and BUGLED ALL weekend.. to no avail.. Momma and Poppa want no extra furdear critters next Spring.it's take a break year at the farm....enjoy...:)..Joanne

Beautiful photos Joanne. Very nice property, and Baveheart is beautiful also. Reminds me of our family trips to Nova Scotia when I was younger.

Thanks Guys.. when I go home next month I'll get some more shots.. the back 40 and side yard look so different in Winter.. much more light.. and contrast.. they have in chunks; over the 30 years increased the acreage to 200 acres .. and the 12 foot fence for the deer is a bit of a fun deal.. my baseball skills had been augmented to heaving "free produce" from family friends that is "old".. we toss it over the fence, making "the girls"..come to eat.. course then Braveheart gets snotty because he is "ignored"..so then I have to go feed him.. the Big Baby.. Momma feeds the squirrels and chippers, and turkeys year round.. we have a few squirrels who in summer as the door is cracked come in Momma's Dining room and eat seed out of the pail..:grin spoiled wretches..=shrug..

plus we have a Pidgeon named "Pidge" who as a yearling was found with a forever broken wing.. she lives in the house....in a huge cage.. she has gifted Momma with 22 eggs.. but she has no mate..:(..

To DS Vicki and I ..it's "the Farm".. but to a lot of folks it's a real big Deal.. my Momma is known in town as "The Deer Lady ".. on Deerwander Road..Poppa is known as "That Construction Fellow". that goes "Down - Country to work"..:grin..

Glad you enjoyed them.. It's home...:)..Joanne

Joanne - Thanks for sharing the pics! I grew up in the Berkshires and I miss the mountains and wildlife - don't get too much of that here. I will look forward to seeing the winter photos when you post them!
