Hi all.

I just giving a heads up that someone, using the name: "nyelaa" and claiming to be from Rwanda, is using the Cruise Addict's Private messages to try to pull a scam. They sent their letter to both my PM and to my e-mail, which is in my profile.

It's a classic scam. The one where they will be happy to share their millions if only you will give them your bank account numbers to help them access the fortune.

These people commit attempted grand larceny and just get away with it. There should be a way to punish such crooks. It makes me angry that there's nothing we can do. They get to just keep trying until they find some unfortunate person who is gullible enough to fall for it. :X

Yes, I sent him a copy of the PM. I'm sure he'll probably bar them from the board. But I doubt if he can even stop them from just registering another name. It's very frustrating that there's really not much to do to stop these people.

I just sent John an e-mail and posted a warning on the Community Board since I didn't see any other post there. I received it, too.

I'm sure John can perma-ban there IP address if he has it logged which I'm sure he does. This way the person, or spambot, would need to get on an entirely different computer to come back to the boards, unless of course they have one of those IP address changers.

Hi, I wanted to let you know that this user(nyelaa) is now removed and I have also taken the extra step of REMOVING all PM's sent from this user. They were SPAM like messages but, they are now completely removed from your PM inbox as well as any other users effected. I wanted to let you know directly. I found a total of 25 PM's that were sent by this user. If you find anything like this again, please do not hesitate to notify me again. unfortunately people love to send SPAM anyway they can.

Best,
John
