Can someone tell me if they have bottled water on the Miracle? Do you have to purchase it or is it included?
Thank you in advance.

Yes, bottled water is available on the ship - but you will be charged for it. I take one botle of water onto the ship with me and refill from the ship's water. The water is good, so no need to purchase any.

Drinks such as iced tea, lemonade, fruit punch etc. are free. You get your free drinks from dispensers in the buffet area.

=secret The glasses provided for these beverages are pretty small.

You can purchase a large sports bottle in the ship’s gift shop for $3 ~ $4. Get one of those for your free drinks and fill it up. That way you'll still have something left by the time you get out on deck. It makes a nice souvenir after the cruise too. Any bartender will fill your bottle with ice water for free. It's a good idea to take advantage of that since bottled water on the ship costs between $2.50 and $5. Remember to take some water with you as you leave the ship. Water on the ship is safe but water in some ports of call could make you ill so drink water from the ship or bottled water only. In the ports ice cubes can be made from contaminated water so be careful of what you drink. When you're ashore drink refreshments from cans or bottles only and avoid ice.

Since the OP asked only about bottled water, I didn't go any further.....however, I will make a comment about beverages on the islands.

MOST reputable restaurants and bars on the islands will have signs that say "We use only purified water when cooking or making ice." I have eaten food and had many frozen beverages on each island/port I've been to. I've yet to become ill. These people depend on tourists for a living - they do not want to take the chance of getting a reputation for serving anything that would make tourists ill.

I think I paid $2.25 for a small bottles water and $3.50 for the large bottled water on Carnival's Valor last week. My husband purchased a soda card (and a refillable cup for about $5). When he wasn't using it for his soda I used it for my water or iced tea. The water dispensers do have good water. Next time I will just take my own sports bottle to fill up with water and to put my iced tea in. The cups they provide are small and sometimes make the water taste funny...kinda like chlorine. But when I used my own cup I didn't have that problem. You can also buy bottled waters on the islands for usually $1. We found plenty of places at our stops offering water by streetside vendors.

Carnival will also allow you to bring on a "reasonable" amount of bottled water. Since I drank about a case of it on my cruise last month, I intend to bring several small bottles of water with me in October. The water I got from Lido was ok, but it was not cold.

We also hand carried 1 12 pack of diet soda (hubby's favorite brand not sold on the ship) and 1 12 pack of my regular soda (my favorite brand not sold on the ship). Security did open the pilot's bag that was carrying it to make sure it was really soda and then flagged us on through.

This time I will have a 12 pack of water!!!

Be SURE you check the cap on bottled water at the ports/islands. Make sure they are sealed. I've heard of some places that refill water bottles with their local water and sell it that way. Just check the cap to make sure it hasn't been opened!
