We Grieve with Korina

Forever Remembered
Most members of the Cruise @ddicts family are grieving with Korina at the immense and untimely loss of her beloved John.

This fresh wound to the C@ family has got to be piercing the hearts of our @ddicts who recently lost husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, other relatives and friends within the last year.

My heart goes out to all of you.

Never pass up the opportunity to tell someone you love them. We never know what might happen! Our thoughts are still with Korina and hope for better days ahead for her.

Thoughts of Korina come suddenly upon me during my day, and a prayer is said. I was telling my boss this morning about this event, and how emotional it was for many of us, in part because of how involved we seemed to be in the entire chain of events, due to the internet and FaceBook and C@. My heart prays she is handling this as well as she can.

In the 10 plus years I've been on this board I know we've never had such a terrible year of loss and ill health. My heart and prayers are with Korina as she works her way through the grieving and also with all our friends who's wounds from their loses are still fresh my prayers are with you also. I can’t help but think of JohnNJ and his struggles ahead as he recovers from his strokes….my prayers are with him and Susie. So many of our @ddict’s family who are still struggling/recovering from injuries and health issues, you all are not forgotten either….Charles, Jan, KathyC’s Mike, Mary Ann etc. and @ddict family members who are ill too. Prayers and thoughts that we all see better times ahead.

I can't even comprehend what it would be like to lose a spouse. Losing a brother was extremely difficult. Losing any loved one is devastating - and everyone grieves in their own way. I just hope Korina and the others going through this, find their way with the help of their family and friends - both real and cyber!

We are here as much as we can be from so far away.

Our hearts go out to Korina and her family in their time of sorrow. I can't even imagine the pain of losing a spouse. There is a heartache no one can heal but time.

I can not imagine what she is going through - it was tough enough loosing my brother and dad two months apart. I pray the whole family finds the peace and comfort they need at this time

Mary Ann, you are so right, this has really affected me in a way that surprises me. Korina's loss has really brought mine up to the surface but I am trying to be strong! The first year is truely the hardest!

Ellen - you came to my mind immediately when we received the tragic news about John LaCount. I remembered that you, also, had lost your DH in fairly recent months and that this latest heartbreaking news had to have impacted you as well. {{{HUGS}}}

It's true......it's very difficult to understand how SOOOO many people in a small group (in the scope of things) have been so negatively affected in so many ways in the past year. It just boggles my mind.

HUGS TO ALL!!!!!!!

Mary Ann, thanks for starting this thread...

We have a funeral tomorrow for a very good friend. He was the kindest man, always had a smile. He leaves a wife and young son. It will be a difficult day.
