I'm going on a cruise on the Carnival Holiday for the second time this coming March.. It's departing from Mobile heading to Mexico (5 day cruise) last time I went in August which is like the hottest time.. I was wondering how warm or cold it will be on the way there like on the deck and stuff and also in Mexico. Should I pack jeans or a jacket to wear on the deck or what?

Thanks

It will not be cold. Caribbean temperatures are in the low 80's in the dead of winter. By March,
they should be somewhat higher, though cooler than in summer months by 4-5 degrees. Pack
exactly as you did last time.

Hi We have cruised 3rd week in March and last week also. Never found it to be cold at all. Packed shorts and bathing suit. I think the onlt pants we had with us were sweats because we left out of Boston MA and it was cold. By the timne we got to FLA we had shorts on. No pants until we were on our way home. Rest a shure you'll have great weather. We have
#10 March 28th out of Miami.

Just a side note to that............last year I cruised out of Ft Lauderdale on Feb 28th. They were having the coldest weather they had in years. People on the cruise ship the first night and into the next day were bundled in blankets and few FLA residents had jackets. I'm from N Ontario so I had my winter jacket with me. I unzipped it and used the inner jacket outside on the deck the first night. It was raining and very damp and cold.

Nobody can control mother nature. So many people were upset that their "vacation was ruined" and I just realized it was part of the risk you take. For their part, Carnival did what they could and started serving the usual drinks and also trays of hot chocolate (for free) on the Lido Deck.

Once we got out of FLA and closer to the Carribean the weather cleared. My point, you can never tell. I'd bring a pair of pants, socks and a jacket just in case.

We cruised the first week in March 08, out of Galveston.
We went out i a Cold Front and came back in one.
Definitely take a pair of long pants and a jacket because
until we got out to sea like the 3rd day it was VERY windy
and cold on desk, I don't think the pool was open but like
one day the entire trip because of the weather.
Now once we got to Mexico, oh then, wow, the weather was GREAT,
in the low/mid 80's, perfect!

The way I see it, it's better of have and not need than need and not have.
Because stuff on the ship in EXPENSIVE!!
