Weather in October / November

Hello everyone, I have a question about the weather in Late October / Early November. My husband and I will be taking the Carnival Valor to the Western Caribbean (Belize, Honduras, Cayman Islands and Cozumel) departing on Oct 30. My family is very paranoid that we are going to hit a hurricane there, because it's still hurricane season. I have no idea what the weather is going to be like, but I'm starting to freak out and think maybe I made a mistake.

Has anyone sailed during these times? Is it nice weather still?

Yes, technically it is still hurricane season... nothing you can do about that, unless you wait until December. As for the temps, those 2 months are my preference for cruising. Believe me, its still plenty warm. Hot even. Of course, a cold snap can happen anytime, but typically those months are great.

Did a back-to-back cruise in October 2004 ( western and eastern) and it was little bit cooler than in September on my earlier cruises.

Have taken 1 cruise in Oct & 1 in Nov and have another booked for this Oct. We have always had nice warm weather during this time. Technically it is still huricane season but I think the worst time frame is Aug & Sept. Since we always book our cruises so far in advance, we do take out cruise insurance just in case something unexpected comes up.

We will be taking our 2nd October cruise this year. Air and water temps are great. There is a chance of hurricane weather, but usually they know about it with enough time to divert to other ports and calmer seas.

we've gone twice late sept. or into Oct. Weather always warm. Missed Ivan by a week or two. Just know that you can't controll the weather.... the captin will re-route the ship if needed and you'll have a great time if you don't sweat it out!!!!
