We're wondering if anyone out there has had experiences with "the wedding experience"? (Princess has recently had wedding experience handle all their weddings at sea) We would like to hear of any of your experiences with this company before we turn over our wedding to this company. Help Thanks!

I would NOT do it. I read on the cruisemate.com message board one persons experience with them. Horrible would be putting it kindly.
Try the Search feature over there, searching all forums, and you will probably find it.
I would think about doing it on Grand Cayman if that is a stop on your cruise, otherwise, do it at home where it is more under your control and the guests won't have to spend so much to attend.

On our last two cruises, we have been seated in the dining room with couples who were getting married on the ship, and both said that they had a wonderful experience, from the planning phase to the actual ceremony. We went to one of the weddings, and everything was planned perfectly. Neither couple said that they would change a thing.

Thanks Jacquie! Do you have any idea if "the wedding experience" planned their wedding. I guess Princess handled it up until about a month or two ago. Now they have an outside company handle it, and we're nervous because we haven't heard anything about this company. Thanks for sharing.

My brother and sister-in-law got married on the Grand Princess in 12/2002. They had a wonderful experience. Very Professionally done! They had absolutely no complaints. I was there, and in my opinion, if I was to get married again, that's how I would do it. Once you have picked out the wedding package that you want, all you have to do is show up for the cruise and bring what you plan to wear for your wedding! Look into it, you won't be disappointed. One bit of advice, they only marry couples on sea days, so if you decide to go this route, book it early. Try to be the first couple to be married on the first sea day, my brother and his wife were, once all is said and done, with all nervousness set aside, you will still have the majority of your cruise to relax and enjoy yourselves!
Wishing you both all the best!

P.S. - One neat extra they did receive, was a very attractive map of the carribean with the location marked where they said "I Do".
