the van is sitting safe and sound in my driveway. It started out this morning when I was getting ready for my bible study. I had a sudden insulin reaction and had to have something sweet. Ever eat a candy bar at 6AM after just waking up? Makes you nicely nauseated.

Then when I got to the home where the study is, I dropped my purse and it rolled down the stairs, my wallet came open and all my change spilled out. I also lost the leftovers from yesterday's luch I had forgotten to take out of the purse when I got home yesterday afternoon. So there I was crawling around the floor trying to find everything. I thing the owner of the house is still finding things.

So, finally made it home and this is what I found.

Simon thinks there is a prize in the cat food. He has it mixed up with cereal! I don't know why he does it, but he keeps digging it all out and I have to keep putting it all back.

Got it cleaned up and sat down to rest and of course fell asleep so I was late leaving. I was supposed to meet my friends at "Jane and the van's" home. They didn't know where she lived, so we were to meet at the cinema parking lot on the corner.

Only, we forgot they had a matinee, and the lot was full. I finally found them, and we went to Jane's and found she had just gotten home, and had not cleaned her things out of the van. She did that, and we went outside to figure out how to get the scooter into the van. It had been her husband's and she had never used it, so none of us knew how to operate the lift, or the scooter. The instructions were not very helpful. Finally we figured that out, the extra seat was put in the van and the plates removed. With all this activity, I had no chance to familiarize myself with the controls.

We drove the hour home with me in the front, Gary in my car and Anita following him in theirs. We got onto the highway, I was trying to find out how to turn on the wipers and lights in case it started raining wasn't looking behind me in the mirror. A semi pulled in between me and Gary. I kept going slower and slower trying to get the truck to pull around, but he just slowed down, too.

Finally, we got to where there was a third right lane and I moved over. Gary and Anita were nowhere to be seen behind me. I pulled over and waited a few minutes, but they never caught up. Now I had to wonder if they had had car trouble, or if they had passed when the semi did and didn't see me waiting. I didn't have their cell phone number, and she didn't have mine. Great! Since they knew the way anyway, I just decided to go home, and when I got there, there they were. They had passed with the semi and thought I would catch up. Gary said he tried to honk but could't find the horn. (it is hard to find on that car).

OK, so now we are home, and they are late for another appt. I shut the van off, and alarms started going off. We shut doors, turned off lights and it still kept beeping, even with the keys out of the ingnition. Finally found I had left the dome light on. (I had turned it on accidentally and didn't realize it.)

Ok, finally we got the third seat put in the shed, (once I found the key to it, I rarely use the shed). The van is in the driveway, they got to their appt and I sat in the van and memorized the manual. Then, I came in and took a well deserved nap.

End of story.

ha ha... a happy ending! What a day, glad it's all taken care of.

Now, you gotta teach Simon not to go treasure hunting!

Not absolutely sure, but on most cars, it's right behind the front grille. You may have to lift the hood to find it but it's probably there.

(Sorry, but that was too good an opportunity to pass up).

LOL Connie. I have been thinking about you. Behave yourself!

I am limping very badly from this bad back. Audra is limping also she inherited my bad back. We both look like we need a scooter. And yet we keep going like energizer bunnies here and laugh at the way each other looks when trying to get up from the floor when wrapping.Lifting this kids is a killer for me and they all want me to hold and lift them.

Yesterday I discovered that my medication which is supposed to be kept at 35 degrees was placed by my daughter in the wine fridge downstairs so the kids wouldn't touch it.. It felt very warm in that fridge. I just about flipped. I took it out of the packaging and quickly got it in the outside fridge on the porch which is very cold. I decided to give it a go even though it was a little cloudy. So last night I injected a day early rather than let it sit another day.

As I did I told Audra that if I started to have seizures just call an ambulance. She said ha ha funny ma. Well everytime she walked past me in the kitchen as we were baking I feined a seizure or I grabbed my leg and screamed out in pain. A couple of times she just about whacked me but I had her giggling.

On Thursday I got a call from my doctor's office. Guess what remember the five pokes? Well they didn't get enough blood and it took them 7 days to call me. I said hey I'm in MA and I looked like a junkie with a very bad habit for a week after you drew me. I think I'll go to the lab for a redraw when I return. So the day after Christmas I have that to do. I asked them to call it in. eiy yi yi.

The great news is that I flew United. Well United has much more cramped seating and I had an aisle seat but way in the back. As I boarded the plane I saw a mother with 3 kids and all this commotion at the exit row right behind first class. Somehow she and her kids got placed in different parts of the plane. Well just as I passed I heard the flight attendant direct her to row 31 BCDE. Well I was 31D and was pretty anxious that I was going to get a middle seat. I had booked way ahead and wasn't going to be happy. After all I understand a mother wanting to be with her kids but lack of advance planning on her part should not constitute an emergency for me. So I get to my seat and the flight attendant says are you Judy? Yes. Here we go I think. She says well would you mind sitting in exit row 8D? Not a problem I say. But now I have to wait for the whole plane to board I'm stuck near the galley in the back and then a nice young man is asked to give up his 31C seat and was placed next to me. The first class flight attendant was serving us free drinks all flight! Too cool. And the young man was quite fun to talk to also.

Glad it all worked out Connie. Our Sophie does the same thing as Simon but she does it with the water. We even put some marbles in the water to try and stop her but she loves to splash water everywhere. If we forget and leave the bathroom door open and lid up she will do the same in the toilet. Sophie will also "sing" in the shower. You can hear her all over the house but if you go the bathroom where she is she will stop and just stare at you. Never a dull moment with a furbaby.
