Mike our furbaby is terrified of fireworks; firecrackers and other sudden loud noises. So we give him a tranqualizer to help him into the new year. Hopefully it will be quiet for him tonight and us. We're not the New Years Eve partier's anymore since our poor baby Mike is so scared.

Aw, poor doggie. I don't know how Zsa Zsa will do with fireworks when the time comes. She is pretty timid, they could be a problem.

I hope it's quiet for all of you tonight and Mike is not frightened.

We were all in bed, and suddenly Kiefer started barking. I realized I could hear booming, and went upstairs to look out at SF to see what I could see. SF had a great midnight fireworks show, and I was amazed at how much I could see! Our first fireworks since we took down the trees in the back yard! It was so clear, and was worth dragging my sleepy butt out of bed. Thanks, Kiefer!

When Astroworld here in Houston was still there, I could see their fireworks from my apartment. But since it's been torn down, it is now pretty quiet here and I never hear fireworks. My 15 year old dog is deaf and blind now, so they wouldn't have bothered him. My other one would have probably just barked some.
