Western Caribbean Quick Guidance

My son just received an appointment to the United States Coast Guard Academy. No summer for him since he has to report the end of June. I'm just starting the process to find a 7 day cruise where I can take him diving in a couple of ports. I'm coming out of Dallas so it looks like it would be easy getting our of Galveston or New Orleans. Not looking to go to the bottom of the ocean, just nice relaxing dive experiences.
Just starting the process so I could use some guidance from you experts out there. Seems from what I've seen the Cayman's and Cozumel are known for great diving. Any advice on quality dive shops or cruises that I can hook up in early June would be much appreciated.
If you have any other suggestions, I'd love to have them to. Thanks in advance

not to knock cruises, because I go at least once a year, but I also travel to different locations for diving and fishing. If you are really wanting a diving vacation I would not cruise, I would go to Cayman Island or other locations for 4 or more days and get to spend spome quality time diving. if you are just looking to spend a couple of hours diving over a 5 to 7 day vacation then do it as part of a cruise.

Some of the other well known and recommended diving locations available for both land and cruise ships are: Belieze (although I would cave tube here), Cozumel and some of the S. Carib islands. Check out ports of call on this and other boards.
