Hi,

We are taking the Carnival Liberty in 1/09 and hitting Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios. We have already been to these islands a few times and done the typical tours. We've also stayed at Chakannab (sp?) in cozumel.

This cruise, we would like to take it easy and maybe just go to an all inclusive resort for the day. Has anyone been to any on any of these islands that they could recommend? I would prefer it to be semi-close to the carnival piers.

Thank you!!!

Ahoy Matey and =welcome to Cruise @ddicts.

Susan and I have done the day trip to Breezes Bahamas three times. I would assume that Breezes in Jamaica would do day passes too. I think Sandals does them as well or at least the did several years ago. We enjoyed the all inclusive day pass. It is a great way to spend the day.

I don't know about all inclusive day trips in Cozumel or Grand Cayman. Perhaps some one else will have some feedback.

In Cozumel, we once went to the El Cid for a day pass...was really nice, just a new resort that was refurbished as they said after hurricane Wilma..you can also snorkel and dive there...great food as well!

We did the Mr. Sanchos all inclusive package thru tourcozumel.net $40 pp all you can eat and drink, reserved loungers and your own personal waiter for the day. This was awesome. i cant sing their praises enough. Dh and I could not believe the amount of food we were served, and the drinks are NOT watered down. I think its about a $12 Taxi ride there.

forgot to add... in Ocho Rios we did the day pass at Sunset Jamaica Grande. You can see this place when you get off the ship. it is VERY close by. We paid $45 but prices have since went up to $60. They have a pool bar and 2 grills and one restaurant you can eat from. They are NOT stingy with the drinks..in fact they give you TOO many, haha! the pool is absolutely gorgeous and they have a fun waterslide too.

We did the Sanchos Beach Club, they recommend to book with Cozumel-watersports.com as tourcozumel.net turned out to be a scam (see cruisecritic website, ripoff report.com). We wrote to the manager Oliver and he told us. So we booked one all inclusive and several personalized packages with Cozumel-watersports beach factory. It turned out perfect, they even included snorkel equipment and use of ocean kayaks! We cant wait to be back!

the Dh and I wanted to do the glass bottom boat snorkel thing then maybe add on an AI beach? I wonder if we'd have enough time to do both...the ship will be in port from 8 am til 6pm the snorkel trip from 10-2 ish...so maybe throw in the beach break from 2-5 to give us time to get back to the boat?:spyglass: any help appreciated...
