Anyone know the best time of year to take this cruise. Through reading trip reports some have mentioned that they had bad weather. Others mentioned the ships did not stop in Cayman islands because they could not tender that particular day?

Weathers is a gamble, any time. It seems to me (and this is completely my uneducated observation) that the tender problems in Grand Cayman seem more prevalent during the spring time, but I could be nuts. Rain is a possibility any day in the caribbean. I have sailed in April once, but usually prefer the fall for the better prices. Plus the fall weather has always been great (Aprils weather was great too, for that matter). I think I've just been lucky in the weather department. My suggestion would be, and this is more based on price than weather, would be fall... Sept-Nov (cant say yet for Dec, have my first Dec sailing coming up later this year). Kids are in school, hurricane season is winding down, temps are great (not too hot), etc.

We did western Caribbean last Nov 17-22 - weather was BEAUTIFUL for whole trip - no rain! Day in Cayman was perfect. Would definitely cruise that time of the year again!

It is hurricaine season june thru november. I always travel then and only had bad weather once. The rates are better then also.If the weather is bad the worst thing is you go to a diifferent port. And that is not such a bad thing.

As you can see, you got some contradictory information... call a TA and price June vs. Sept. Fares are typically higher when kids are out of school and families are traveling together. I know you asked about weather, not price.... weather is also great in the fall.

Did all of my cruises, one in the Western Caribbean and two in the Southern Caribbean, in early September and the weather has been very cooperative. Rates were very affordable as well.
