Hi I am going on Royal Caribean in early december.

Places - Labadee, Haiti,
Montago Bay, Jamaica
George town, Cayman Islands
Conzumal Mexico

My wife and I are in early thirties; I am a canadian residence and my wife is a PR.

I have a few questions not mentioned on the sites. Hope some one can shed some light for me.

1. Do we need any shots/vaccinations before entering mentioned counties?
2. How do you feel sea sickness ? If you ever get sea sick even after using a patch, what would you do ? or what have you done ?
3.. Royal Caribean says we can not buy beer from the shore (one of the above countries) and take it inside ? is it strictly followed ?
4. My ticket agent said cruise will start boarder at 11.00 am. But Royal cariribean's book that comes with the ticket says it is 2.00 pm?
5. Did any one get any problems with visas ?

Thanks a lot for your time. Any additional infor and tips would help me asw welel.

Re: Western Caribbean

welcome rabbit.

1. Do we need any shots/vaccinations before entering mentioned counties?no they are not required.. although I have had hep A shots just in case.

2. How do you feel sea sickness ? If you ever get sea sick even after using a patch, what would you do ? or what have you done ?you will get that queasy feeling in your stomach.. then it gets worse :lol But on these modern big ships with stabilizers.. most people never experience it.
I do not think that you will get seasick if you already have the patch on.. But as I have never used one, I am really not the one to answer this. Most ships carry seasick pills, and a lot of people swear by the wrist bands.

3.. Royal Caribbean says we can not buy beer from the shore (one of the above countries) and take it inside ? is it strictly followed ?OH YES.. they will not allow you to carry on any booze of any kind... well.. OK.. they will allow you to carry it on, but then they will take it from you and deliver it to your cabin on the last night for you to carry home.

4. My ticket agent said cruise will start boarder at 11.00 am. But Royal Caribbeans book that comes with the ticket says it is 2.00 pm? usually you can board around noon. But this depends on the ships arrival time. one cruise, the ship had to divert for an illness, so it was very late getting into our port.
We usually go over around 11 am. We feel that if we are staying in a hotel, then we have to check out, and then sit around the lobby.. so if we have to sit around, why not sit where the ship is? :grin and usually we are on board by noon
