I took my first Carnival cruise in 1988 and I loved it, so much that I honeymooned on Carnival in 1991 and then took all subsequent vacations on Carnival since then. We never even think to do anything else but cruise on Carnival for vacations. I think the ships have gotten a lot better and a lot bigger since 1988. There are more ammenities and more luxuries but the service is just as great as it was in 1988. The thing I enjoy most now is the same thing I enjoyed most in 1988, relaxing by the pool and eating gormet food every night and having someone basically take care of me for a week.
