How much does it cost for transportation from Orlando airport to Port Canaveral? Can anyone suggest the best and most affordable way to get there? And how long does it take?

Hi Leigh,

We are staying at a hotel very close to the airport, Fairfield Inn Orlando Airport, and a company by the name of Alpha & Omega, shuttle service, is picking us up around noon at the hotel, and it takes approx. 45 minutes to get to Port.

Their website is: http://www.alphaomegatransportation.com

Hope this helps. When are you sailing? We're sailing the Pride Jan 25/03

I would suggest flying in the day before you set sail - especially if you're coming from a northern state. You never know what kind of weather conditions may lie again and what kind of delays you may have. Most hotels offer free shuttles from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the port.

Carnival charges $30 pp for transfers from the airport to the Port for both directions. This is approximately a 45 to 60 minute drive depending on traffic. There are limousine services which average $80-100 one way. This is good if you are a family or gorup of 3 or more. Renting a car probably averages $50 a day with taxes, etc. Avis is located at the Radison near the port.
The transfers really worked out great for us.

My group (5 of us) used Mears Transportation. It was a very nice bus $30 per person round-trip. Once you load your luggage on the bus you don't touch it again until it arrives at your cabin. Very nice service.
