While we're on the subject, 1A's are good for singles.  They give you a break on the single supplement, usually a lot less expensive than a 4A for a single.  On the newer ships, some of the 1A's have one bed and a sofa which is also a sofa bed.  Some of these are ocean view with porthole windows.
