On the Carnival Glory beginning 3/21/09 ....traveling to Cozumel, Belize, Costa Maya, and Nassau. Any suggestions of what not to miss? Also, any suggestions of who to book the excursions with? I have cruised several times before, but I always like to have input from other cruisers. Thanks!

Great itinerary.

One of our favorite excursions is in Belize. Here's a link.

In Cozumel we use Eagle Ray Divers

In Costa Maya we booked our snorkel through a local dive shop in Mahahul but don't know if they're still there after the Hurricane. The water there was crystal clear.

In Nassau we did the day pass at Breezes Bahamas on Cable Beach.

We were on the Glory years back and here's what we did:

Cozumel: We did the trip to Tulum thru Carnival the first time we were here. 2nd time we booked a Jeep tour in Playa Del Carmen where we drove a jeep around, went to the beach for lunch and to the caverns.

Belize: Did cave tubing w/Xstream cave tubing and they were awesome!!! Small group with 2 guides and they were great with our 10 yr old daughter whom had trouble paddling in the caves and river.

Costa Maya: Here we packed up 2 backpacks with school supplies (one for the HS and one for the kindergarten) and actually took a taxi to Majahual and go dropped off at the HS. We sat with the kids and spoke to the teacher and kids and gave them their backpack. From there we walked to the kindergarton and gave the kids the other backpack along with lollipops and other things. My daughter colored with the kids and they sang the Barney Song in spanish to us. I absolutely loved this place! If you don't know much spanish then I'd advise not to go there (they speak very little english but in the HS they are teaching English). The day we were in the kindergarton there was a montessori teacher there that spoke fluent english so I was able to chat with her while my husband and our daughter played with the little kids (we have video too!)

Nassau: Glory didn't go here when we sailed her so I can't recommend anything here.

Hey Gator Girl,

I don't know about this particular cruise, but I have been to this area in February, and it was plenty warm. I expect it will be this time too. Hope so!!!

In Belize we did zip lining and cave tubing. Had a great time! We did both in one day, NOT recommended, as we almost missed the ship. Have fun!

Went on the Glory in December. Nice ship. Don't miss fish and chips. I never found it but everyone says it's great. It's way up top. If you go to the Lido find a stairway up to next level and you'll find it.

In Belize we did zip line and cave tube in one day. DON'T! Almost missed ship and didn't get to eat lunch.

In Costa Maya we booked with David and Ivan and went to the ruins. About a 45 min. drive, stood in the hot sun for a 1 hour lecture (way too long) then went around the back of a small pyramid to see the most beautiful setting of ruins and large pyramids ever! Gorgeous.

Got to Nassau on a Sunday, everything closed until about 1pm.
