What they're saying about this storm...

The winds are now gone, but the rain remains. It's not too bad right now, and it is expected that the next storm will be an average storm.

WINDS: Clocked at 110 mph in Clayton, clocked at 77 on the Golden Gate Bridge. What are hurricane winds.. about 75?

At one point, there were 1/2 million people without power. Those still without power can expect to be out at least until tomorrow morning, but realistically, they should be out all weekend.

We lost a section of our fence. DH went down to look at it, and the winds sheered through a 4"x4" support, and that brought down 4o or 50 ft of fence. My friend just called, in her condo they lost roofing and 7 units are flooded.

What a storm!!!

Earlier today, Charles posted that it would be the equivalent of a Category 2 hurricane.

Level 1, 74-95 mph
Level 2, 96-110 mph
Level 3, 111-130 mph
Level 4, 131-155 mph
Level 5, 156 mph"

Sorry about your damage, Glo.

Be careful Glo. The weather here is changing too. Mike had to go to the Continental Divide today and hit ice and very heavy snow. And the worst of the storms haven't even hit you yet according to our news. They say 3 feet of snow in some areas in the mountains here.

I hope you have all of your supplies at the ready and stay hunkered in and safe.

The news I heard today was that the 3rd storm to come in would be just a regular storm for us. I don't know what it will be like in the mountains, though!

I hate to hear about your storms, but they are bringing us 65 degree weather as they go north of us. Warmer here than Florida. Crazy. Glad all you lost was some fence!
