My wife and I were on the Galaxy for the Feb 20 2004 sailing.

We had a GREAT bottle of wine with one of our dinners. The wine steward not only recomended it, he gave us the label. I lost it!!!

I have seen a site with pictures of Galaxy's wine list, but it must change
on some of the cruises. Does any one know how I can find out what wine it
was? I know it is made by Leonard Kreusch.

On the Galaxy wine list I found: Piesporter Goldtropfchen Riesling Spatlese Leonard Kreusch 1999 @ $32.00 could that be it?

I hope the real prices don't throw you off the "Great" wine that you had. Just remember it was "Great" and now you can afford to have a taxi bring it to your door for the same price. lol

If you have your shipboard receipts it will be listed on it. We always save our receipts so we don't forget what we liked and how much it cost.

Yes...I believe that is the wine we had. The price also seems familiar. How did you find it?

Do you have a web address for the wine lists?

http://cruiseclues.com/ is the web site then click on wine lists. We have the same taste in wine ,we really like Rieslings. I think BSeabob is only kidding I can`t imagine a sommelier recommending a $4.99 bottle of wine!

Why wouldn't a sommelier recommend an inexpensive bottle of wine... my favorite wine guys often do.

Actually, Two Buck Chuck is pretty good.

I of course don't know what the exact wine is that buster got on the ship. But it looks to me like Leonard Kreush puts out some inexpensive stuff according to the site that I ended up on. So knowing that........ and the fact that Celebrity along with all the rest of the Lines sort of mark it up "A bit" , figured it might be one of those. I really hope they don't mark it up that much but.....you never know.

The spatlese is wonderful. We usually have that several nights on a cruise - provided the ship has it in stock. (On three different cruises, they were out of it.)
It is a sweet German wine and one of our favorites.
