I was a very good Momma last night..*sigh*.. that's a quote mind from my loving DS Stephen..:grin..I made his favorite - Chex Party Candy Mix ..36 cups!!..in my BIGGEST Tupperware storage bowl!!..

somehow it made it's way stealthfully dpwnstairs to the living room off of his "bachelor's pad " after 10PM last night..:lol..I went downstairs to water the real tree.. and there's the bucket!!

this week I have...
Applesauce cake
Tea Fruit Cake
Sugar Cookies with Cream cheese frosting
Caribbean Glaze Poppy Seed Cake to churn out..
with a request"if I have time" to make my home-made chocolates.OY..this from DS Stephen again.." I'll be glad to help Momma"..!! ( and he does!!.. ).. he learned to walk around my baking/cooking!!, and is quite comfortable schleping in and out and answering me when I go :help...please get me this or that...:lol..he realises if he "helps" I get more done..
and a second remake of I suspect Chex Party Candy Mix to do as the DD's get home..what's on your list??....:daisy...Joanne

Girl - you should open a bakery! lol

My mom gave me her Bread Machine when I went to visit over Thanksgiviing - so I am having fun making bread - - and that is all I am baking.

I love to cook - but am not a good baker!

I just finished Candy this weekend. - Choc cups with assorted fillings - coconut, peantbutter, carmel, raspberry and orange. Choc pretzle rods, white pretzles, White peppermint bark, choc covered peanut butter crackers, Haystacks and peanut brittle. This week starts cookies. I have a list of the regular Christmas ones - Cutouts, almond crescents, peanutbutter kisses, sugarplum drops, snickerdoodles, choc. chip, ginger snaps, coconut macaroons, butternut drops, - there's more but I'm at work and don't have it handy. ;) I make cookie trays for friends and family.

36 cups of chex mix! Wow Joanne! That's a lot of mixing and baking.

So far I've made mini pecan pies, white choc chex mix, snowflake cookies, peanut butter cups, vanilla creams, cherry creams, caramels and I mixed my sugar cookies.

Tonight I'm baking the sugar cookies, spritz cookies, making dipped pretzel rods, caramels with vanilla cream, mini almond joys, and mints.

I need to ship out a box to Florida tomorrow. I make plates for friends, family and co-workers.

I'll probably try out a couple new recipes too, before the week is over. :)

I should not have opened this thread....now I feel behind....

I made chocolate dipped jo-jo's the other day. I have to dip some regular oreos for dh this week and the following:

7 layer bars
sugar cookies
truffle cookies
oatmeal dried cranberry cookies
mexican wedding cakes
pfferneuse balls for dh
jam thumbprints
spiced mixed nuts

I think that's it this year - can't do much more than that anyways.

Of course I will make a "plate" to share with all of you if you'll do the same. Everything sounds very tasty.

We have a grand total of 7 people in the whole family here. No way could we eat all those cookies!

I have a Coconut Cream Pie, Pumpkin Pie and Pecan Pie - that is enough!

Last night I made Mike 4 or 5 dozen I lost count as he kept sneaking them, chocolate chip cookies for his birthday.

When I reach Boston I have peanut butter bars, peanut butter blossoms, pressed cream cheese cookies, mor chocolate chip cookies and chex mix to make before Sunday. That is in between shopping excursions and wrapping the mounds of gifts that were shipped and sit in the basement!. Christmas Eve has got to be left to only putting toys together. Eiy Yi Yi I am going to need at least a couple of hours sleep one night while I am there! LOL

You are all making me feel like a slacker. I don't bake, but I intend making a big dish of lasagne for Christmas Eve.
Enjoy all those goodies :)
