Wheel chair

My travel agent requested a wheel chair for me to use during the embarkation process in San Juan for AOS. Does anyone have any experience with this? I have 2 medical conditions which make it miserable for me to stand in line (especially in hot weather). My TA wasn't sure if I would be placed in the regular embarkation line or if I would go directly inside to a different embarkation area. Thanks for any info you may have.

I haven't used the wheelchair assistance but have seen it used often in many ports with many cruislines. What happens is, when you arrive at the port, there will be cruiseline agents there ready to assist. They will be located where the porters are that take your luggage from you. Let someone know you need wheel chair assistance and they will radio for someone. A cruiseline representative will arrive with a wheel chair and will help you get checked in and on board. They have handicapped accessible entrances. Don't worry - you won't have to walk far or stand.

This isn't the AOS or San Juan, but this is what was waiting in New Orleans when I was in the embarkment line for the Golden Princess. This is very typical of most cruiselines. They have people waiting to assist you if needed.
