We are going to be sailing on the Infinity on 7/25. We will be arriving one day early in Vancouver. Where do you recommend we stay?

Vancouver has many lovely hotels. We've stayed at both the Hyatt Regency and the Renaisannce. Both are beautiful hotels situated right downtown, convenient to sightseeing, shopping, restaurants and the port. The hotels (and most everything else in Vancouver) can be pricey, but the US/Canadian exchange rate is to our advantage. It's a beautiful city with lots to see, incredibly "yuppified" and manageable if there only for a day. You can purchase an all-day hop on/hop off sightseeing bus pass which will allow you to visit most of the major attractions, or you can walk the downtown area (it's very walkable) and get the real flavor of the city. Enjoy your visit!

We have stayed at The Blue Horizon Hotel on Robson St three times with a 4th time booked for September this year. We like where it is situated :)
It's just a short taxi ride to the pier. :)

We've stayed at the Soleil Suites (formerly a Sheraton) and the Westin Grand - both some of the most incredible hotels we've ever stayed in - maybe it's Vancouver. This summer, we're staying at the Sheraton Wall Centre and looking forward to it.

We've found incredible deals at all of these hotels - never more than $140 US per night - and both suites the first time.

We just stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Georgia on Georgia St. and Howe St. It's an old but refurbished grand hotel, and we were completely satisfied with it. It is across the street from the art museum and one block from Robson St. Very convenient and service was great. We highly recommend it, particularly if you like the feel of these rich old hotels with lots of history behind them.

The low bid priceline price for the Hyatt is a great value. This hotel is central to walking and touring Vancouver, as well as being a fine hotel.

back from alaskan mercury cruise.we stayed a total of 3 days(2 pre-cruise) and 1 post-cruise in vancouver using priceline at $45/night at the hyatt regency downtown.the hotel was a steal at that price.nice room and very comfortable beds with down comforters.great location.only about 5 blocks to cruise terminal(we walked their from hotel) and about 1.5miles to stanley park which is the place to go.

their was a warning in our room that they were doing window repairs but it was mon-friday and they started around 8;30am and very little noise.
