My wife and a couple of friends booked a roundtrip cruise to Alaska from Seattle (6/03/05 on the Mercury) and want to find a nice reasonably priced place to stay a day prior and a day after. We would like a place that has a shuttle from Sea-Tac and then to the port. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks - Jerry

I don't have any personal info but you could start by reading these. from the search for "Seattle" in the Hotel Tips review section of this site.

We stayed at Hotel Vintage park, got it on Priceline for 90 dollars a night,do not know it that is too much, its a 4 star hotel,3 long blocks down to waterfront, they provided us their town lincoln car from hotel to pier for 20 bucks, well worth it,took shuttle bus from airport to hotel,28 dollars for both of us,delivered right to hotel door.Liked the hotel cause my husband and I vacation every year in Seattle,we love the place, its about 2 blocks from Pikes Farmers market,a must see and 2 blocks from historic Pioneer Square and 1 block up to Monorail at the mall that will take you to Space Needle, also go to Ivars on waterfront, serve the best clam chowder in the world.Everything is within walking distance from this hotel, you can walk down to your pier a day early, would take about 15 minutes from this hotel and get yourself on a ferry to Bainbridge or Bremerton,a half hour ride that will get you in mood for trip and beautiful out on deck and you can see your cruise ship or others docked from ferry when on water.Ferry is pier 54 I believe, you leave from your cruise on pier 66. Hope this helps, have a great trip,Alaska is spectacular but Seattle holds a very special place in our hearts! P.S. The hotel is done in wine themes for the rooms, there is a free wine tasting every night at five oclock, the restaurant next door is awesome too,Italian, seafood, but too expensive, stick to Ivars, there is an Honor bar in your room with candies, snacks, booze, beer, pop, the rooms are done in rich golds, reds, purples, you get free newspapers in morning, movies and nintendo in rooms, big huge bathroom, robes, quite beautiful. The lobby is very antique looking where they have the wine tasting, wood beams ect. Go to www.hotelvintagepark.com to view if you like.Korina

We stayed at the Ramada Inn Downtown...it ended up being perfect. We got it for $69 per night pre and post cruise. Couldn't have been better for us.
