Liberty and Glory are nearly identical cruise ships. The only difference is the interior theme with the furniture. Other than that they are exactly the same and they both will provide you with an excellent night life.

We are just off the Glory and we had a wonderful time. I think any of the Carnival ships will be a right fit for you, just decide on where and how long you want to sail.

Maybe the newer of the 2 ships. I have noticed Carnival uses the better crew and entertainers on there new ships. just an observation.

Hello eclivia,

With two such similiar ships you obviously end up making your decision based on the other factors. I remember answering one of your other posts on the community page. In that question you said you were sailing between Nov 1st and 10th. So I took a look at the Liberty and the Glory for that week. And for those two, the other factors are significant.

First off the Glory is sailing on Saturday, November 3rd, for seven days from, Port Canaveral going to Belize, Costa Maya, Cozumel, Nassau, and two sea days. It would appear that the only verandahs left are suites, $ 1969, and the ocean views start at $1,039 and insides at $739.

Meanwhile the Liberty is sailing on Sunday, November 4th, for only six days, from Miami, going to Key West , Grand Cayman, Ocho Rios, and two sea days. Inside, $529, oceanview $629, verandah $829.

Lots to consider there, with pluses and minuses on both sides.

Pluses for the Glory:
Longer cruise
More interestng ports, Include Cozumel (a favorite)
Port Canaveral hotels for your precruise stay are much more reasonably priced.

Negatives for the Glory:
Those are not good prices, way too high for the OV.
Port Canaveral is an hour's drive from airport (Orlando) cost for transfer about $70 each way, depending on how you do it.

Pluses for the Liberty:
Good prices
Verandah cabins available

Negatives:
Only six nights
Miami hotels are over priced
Ocho Rios (IMHO this is a negative. Why that's a negative is another entire question already answered here >>>Thread about Ocho Rios

I'd be curious to know what you decide.

Happy cruising.

I've never been on the Glory, but I have been on the Liberty. It is a newer ship ( always a nice thing ), and I loved it ! There is a large screen on the deck where movies and concerts are broadcast. I don't think that a 6 day itinerary vs. a 7 day itinerary is a big deal.

The nightlife will most likely be quite similar regardless of the choice of ship, but I would agree with duskbat about the newer ships using more experienced crew.

I'm sure that you'll have a super time no matter which ship you decide upon.

Just getting off the Glory for the 2nd time and seeing The Liberty VERY upclose in St. Thomas I would say go for The Liberty... they are in the same class but she is newer & loooks like more fun with the big screen we saw on her pool deck!

Either way you have made the right choice for being first & young cruisers by doing Carnival! I love it and unless I WON a free cruise I would NEVER EVER book on any other line ever again!

One thing I love best about Carnival is if you go during a time of year that the kids aren't out of school and get an "older crowd" they are all still fun fun fun partying! I am 30 & I swear I felt old until I got on the ship this past time & saw all of the 50+ers lasting longer than me the whole week!!!!

Fav ship of all time is the Miracle though! That to me would be the best first time cruiser ship!
