Which Carnival Ships belong to Which Families?

I am trying to remember which ships are sisters, and have the same layout.

For instance, I know that all the *ation ships are the fantasy class. I don't remember the newer ships.

Can someone help me out?

Thanks!

Don't forget that the Destiny Class, Conquest Class, and Splendor Class are all pretty much the same thing, they are just slightly extended versions of the same exact floor plans.

You are right. You could probably add the Fantasy class to the list of being similar also. Carnival seems to be stuck in the same rut of deck plans.

Unfortunately that is true. The Holiday class also has a similar layout. My favorite class is the Spirit class. Hopefully the Dream will resemble the Spirit class layout.

There are plenty of similarities, but there are also some major differences which make me want to book this ship for 2010. Especially the outside promenade that encircles the entire promenade deck. The open decks have an updated waterworks, Serenity area for adults, two level mini golf, & full court basketball. I've also noticed that the supper club will be located aft. Enough differences to warrant a look-sie!! :thumb
Sorry to burst your bubble Cruizer but Carnival released the deck plans for the Dream; it's pretty much a mirror image of the Destiny, Conquest, and Splendor class ship except an extra deck higher and a little bit wider and longer. Check it out here: http://www.carnival.com/cms/fun/ships/carnival_dream/Deckplan2.aspx
Thanks for the link. However, for some reason the link did not include the deck plan for deck thirteen.

Haha Carnival is very superstitious and they refuse to admit that the number 13 even exists!

Hotels, ships, even office buildings and apartment buildings seldom have a 13th floor or deck.::eek:

As far as the ships all being similar, maybe its because they all have the same head designer, Farcus. Or maybe they think, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

If you go to the Carnival website and click on the Funships link, they now list their fleet by Class. I found it interesting to compare them, however in reality, once you look at the deck plans, it seems to me they really only have three distinct classes: Fantasy, Spirit and all the rest (Destiny, Triumph, Conquest, Splendor & Dream all have virtually the same deck plans with varying tonnage).
