Which Ship For Alaska - Princess/Carnival ??

We did the Carnival Spirit from Vancouver to Anchorage (Whittier) last June. Got a good deal and did the Category 11 Cabin (they call it a suite). Anyway, we loved it and looking to go again from Seattle or Vancouver leaving between May 29 and June 1st. We will already be in Seattle for a few days for the Northwest Folk Festival.

We liked having a larger cabin and did spend time in it due to watch the scenery and having some of our own wine onboard, so at least a balcony is a requirement. This year we are also taking our 21 and 22 year son and daughter. They can go with less.

We could do the Spirit again, but a new (different) ship would be nice. I think Holland America tends to run older and more refined and a bit more expensive?

So, now that any discussion on destination is just about ruled out, north or south settled and balcony or not....

Any suggestions and ideas on which to pick?

Now, which ship would you suggest? And cabin types?
